STOP/OVER

Written by GARY DUGGAN

Directed by CHELSEA MATHESON

18th-28th May 2022

The Motley Bauhaus

A day and a night in the city that never sleeps. A young woman arrives into JFK with time to kill until her flight home to Ireland. With thirty-one hours till take-off, she meets up with an old college friend and together they reminisce on their turbulent past and missed opportunities as they embark on a whistle-stop tour of the city.

Three Fates Theatre Company is proud to present the first show of their 2022 season, the Australian premiere of Stop/Over by Gary Duggan - an expertly-crafted two-hander that explores a love that lingers over time and distance. Set over a single night in New York, two Irish expats reunite and reminisce about the moments where their lives intersected – and the reasons why they fell apart. Starring an incredibly captivating duo, Sebastiano Pitruzzello (Lenore: A Tale of Mournful and Never Ending Remembrance, Billy Loves Cha Cha Forever) and Zoe Hawkins (Analog, Punk Rock), Stop/Over is helmed by visionary Melbourne director Chelsea Matheson (Telling Tales, The Cuddle Parlour) and will hit the stage at the new Motley Bauhaus Theatre.
